| September 8, 2007: Westhill travelled out to VVS for the first meet of the 2007 cross country season. The course has several small hills, with only a few changes from the sectional course of 3 years ago. Finishing first for Westhill and taking 2nd overall was AJ Corcoran . Coming in next for Westhill was Eric Moore, running very well to place second for the team and fourth overall. Finishing as a pack and taking 13th-15th were Kevin Zych, Adam Nicolais, and Dave Krawczyk. Next in line was Josh Strough finishing 18th. Rounding off the varsity squad was Taylor Remillard, Jayson Honis, Mike Grome, and Nick Downs, all running well. The varsity team came in second, only losing to Tully High School. Westhill had a very strong showing in the JV race as well. Joe Savastano, Peter Clark, Andre Remillard, and Anthony Lengnetto all finished in the top ten. Erich Grome, McAllister Wheelees, and Mike Rowen rounded out the JV team to a great 2nd place finish also only losing to Tully. |
