November 1, 2003: Once upon a time, in 1978, the Westhill boys' Cross Country team won Sectionals.  Since then, there hasn't been a single Section III victory for our team.  Well...all that changed today, as Westhill blazed to its first Sectional crown in 25 years! Leading the team in was race winner Tim Hartnett, who ran the challenging 5K course in 17:14.9, 8 seconds in front of runner-up Ozzie Myers of Chittenango.  Just behing Ozzie was Kevin Blaich in 3rd, followed by Greg Pallotta (10), Matt Zych (12), and Mark Leonard (15).  Mark ran an outstanding race and really helped out our team's score.  Our final score was 41 points, beating team runner-up VVS (63) and Homer (64).  Next, Westhill will travel to Marcus-Whitman high school on Saturday to compete for the State crown.  Congratulations of everyone for a day to go down in history.
